Pro-Force Performance
and Stan, the Man behind It
In 2011, Pro-Force Performance was founded, offering quality Mustang 5-speed transmissions for any year Mustang through 2010. It all started in my garage and basement in 2008 under the name of T5 Atlanta.
After retiring from 30+ years in IT, I had turned a hobby into a business that was very much in demand. I've always enjoyed working on cars, so when I needed a 5-speed transmission for my 1965 Mustang, I learned that a good T-5 transmission was hard to find. Once I did my research and built one, I realized there was a need for someone to build GOOD T-5 transmissions!
By 2015, thanks to you, I was building as many TR3650's as I was the original T-5's. Pro-Force had become a recognized innovator in upgrading our beloved Mustang transmissions.
.
Pro-Force had grown and moved out of my garage at home into a 5500 square-foot building in an industrial park. Most of my customers were out of state and required shipping - NO PROBLEM! ...and yes, I had begun rebuilding 6-speed transmissions, too.
In the spring of 2016, Pro-Force acquired The T45 Source and became the focal point for obtaining all the custom parts needed to make your T-45 reliable and enjoyable again.
In March of 2019, Pro-Force became an Authorized Reseller of RAM brand Clutches and Flywheels.
In November of 2020, Pro-Force became an Authorized Tremec Reseller offering NEW transmissions, such as the T5, TKX, and T56 Magnum.
There is definitely a need for quality rebuilt Tremec Transmissions not only in the Metro Atlanta area, but all over. There are also many misconceptions and a lot of confusion about the T-5. I have documented many details about the T-5 in an attempt to settle many "Internet Myths." I post on several Automotive Forums on the Internet as "SPeace-ATL".
I completely tear down my transmissions, power-wash the cases, and inspect every piece. Only parts that are as good as new are allowed back into my units. The rest are new parts. I use genuine Tremec parts as much as possible, but because these units are considered old now, some of the parts are available only as aftermarket replacements, if at all.

I have lots to share!
Trivia:
- My first Mustang was a 1966 fastback that I bought in 1967.
- My second Mustang technically belongs to my son. It is a father-son project
1964 & 1/2 with a 5.0 Mass Air type Electronic Fuel Injection system.
This car is now sporting an Astro A-5 T5.
- The first manual transmission that I rebuilt was a Borg Warner 3-speed
with overdrive that was in my 1955 Packard. That was around 1970.
